The WillMa Youth Club (TWYC) is a youth-led, youth-focused grassroots non-profit organization committed to empowering young people, particularly those in rural and underserved communities, through education, leadership, digital skills, health promotion, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and community development initiatives.
WillMa is an acronym derived from the names of the founder’s parents, Williams and Mary. The name honors their values, love, and inspiration, reflecting the organization’s commitment to empowering young people and building stronger communities.
Young people who share the organization’s vision and are passionate about community development, volunteerism, and youth empowerment can become members regardless of their educational background, religion, ethnicity, or gender.
No. While TWYC began in the Upper West Region and prioritizes rural communities, it welcomes members, volunteers, and partners from across Ghana and beyond.
TWYC was established to bridge the gap in opportunities available to young people in rural communities by providing mentorship, education, digital literacy, health education, career guidance, and leadership development.
TWYC is deeply rooted in rural communities and is led by young people who understand the unique challenges facing underserved youth. The organization prioritizes practical solutions, community participation, innovation, and sustainable impact.
TWYC does not currently offer direct scholarships but connects young people to scholarship opportunities, fellowships, internships, and educational resources.
TWYC aims to become a leading youth development organization that empowers rural youth to become innovative leaders, skilled professionals, entrepreneurs, and active citizens driving sustainable development across Ghana and Africa.
